Preferred Resumes History

Preferred Resumes' history as a job site dates back to 2000 when BCG Attorney Search was launched as a legal recruiting firm. Prior to this time, Preferred Resumes' founder, Harrison Barnes, had been a law professor while also practicing law and had frequently revised his students' resumes. Given the power of a good resume to get students and attorneys jobs, Harrison became very committed to work on resumes. As a legal recruiting firm, BCG Attorney Search and its recruiters spent a great deal of time revising resumes. The competitive advantage a good resume gave BCG Attorney Search's candidates was a factor in the company's rapid expansion. Because BCG Attorney Search could not help everyone with their resumes and because the company could only service a limited number of people at one time, Attorney Resume was started in August of 2005. Attorney Resume quickly became a national leader in writing resumes for attorneys and law students. Shortly thereafter, Preferred Resumes commenced operations.

Client Testimonials
"Recently, I was laid off from a major corporation. I had no idea how I was going to come back from such a sudden and unexpected event. I came to your company hoping for a cover letter explaining my situation and was pleasantly surprised by your writer's tact. I don't think there could be a better letter phrasing. Thank you so much. I will let you know how things turn out in the next few months. Cross your fingers for me!"
M.C. , Palm Springs, CA
"I've just finished going over the resume and cover letter. They both sound great. I'm very pleased with how it's turned out; you've managed to convey my experience in a very professional tone and yet still sound like me. I've never thought of having a 'voice' in my paperwork, but apparently I do, and you've captured it."
L.B. , Boulder, CO
