How to Count in Your Career and Life
By: Harrison Barnes

EmploymentScape Chief Executive Officer, Harrison Barnes dwells on the need to be in harmony with the all pervasive universal spirit so as to leave an indelible mark on the world.

There are essentially two types of people in the world. The first type may be extremely intelligent, or good or popular, but such people fail to leave a permanent mark in the world. The other type of people may or may not be bestowed with the above attributes. But they are able to make their name count in the world. Such people are able to touch others with a unique sort of power. They are remembered long after they are gone.

What is it that differentiates these two types of people? What is this unique power that only a few rare people are bestowed with? Harrison believes that this has essentially to do with a force which he calls a spiritual force. He calls this power the ability to relate to the “spirit” that exists in the world.

Harrison strongly believes that this power, energy or force of life is something that has been in existence since times immemorial. The more we connect with this energy, the more likely we are to achieve what we want in life. In fact, the more we use this energy and power in our dealings with the world, the more successful we are likely to be and the more we are likely to matter.

We are constantly looking for differences around us. However, the people who make the most impact on the world are the ones who recognize a certain oneness that many of us simply ignore. They are constantly communicating with and connecting with something spiritual in nature. We need to tap into this oneness because it is through this oneness that we find true power.
